The observability market is forecasted to reach $2 billion by 2026, climbing from $278 million in 2022, according to 650 Group.

The research by AlgorithmWatch and AI Forensics, in collaboration with Swiss radio and television stations SRF and RTS, found that Bing Chat gave incorrect answers to questions about elections in Germany and Switzerland. The team tested the quality of Bing Chat's answers to questions about the Bavarian and Hessian state elections and the Swiss federal elections since the end of August.

Zoom took a big step towards becoming a workplace productivity powerhouse this week with the launch of its own Google Docs competitor, Zoom Docs. The new product comes with all of the traditional features you might expect from a Docs builder along with unique features like embeddable meeting transcripts that Zoom hopes will become its defensive moat.

AI-powered parking platform AI-powered parking platform Metropolis today announced that it raised $1.7 billion to acquire SP Plus, a provider of parking facility management services, in a combination of equity and debt. Eldridge Capital and 3L capital co-led the tranche with participation from BDT & MSD Partners’ affiliated credit funds, Vista Credit Partners, Temasek, Slow Ventures and Assembly Ventures.

About a year ago, Getty banned users from uploading or selling AI-generated content. At the time, the company said it was concerned about copyright issues in AI. Eventually, it sued Stability AI for training the Stable Diffusion tool on Getty’s photos — at times, Stable Diffusion even generated Getty watermarks on its images.

Likewise, the company behind an app that can recommend your next TV binge, movie to watch, podcast to stream, or book to read, is out today with its own entertainment-focused AI companion, Pix. Built using a combination of Likewise’s own customer data and technology from partner OpenAI, Pix can make entertainment recommendations and answer other questions via text message or email, or by communicating with Pix within the Pix mobile app, website, or even by speaking to Pix’s TV app using a voice remote.
